If Arizona, Baylor, and TCU win, and exactly one of Alabama, Ohio State, and Florida State loses, then the three teams guaranteed to be in would be the two who didn't lose of those three, and one Big 12 team. Who should get the fourth spot? A second Big 12 team (one-loss) or Arizona (two losses but beat Oregon twice)? The committee has shown great willingness to rank one-loss teams above undefeated Florida State but not once has ranked a one-loss team below a two-loss team (amongst the Power Five conferences).
