Olympics schedule for gymnastics, swimming, and track and field

While NBC hasn't yet announced its telecast schedule for the Olympics, it's possible to guess at it based on the event schedule recently released. Best guess is track and field and swimming will be completely live while gymnastics will be tapedelayed. Epic compared to London when all three of these sports were completely tape-delayed. Every event of the entire Olympics will be streamed live on nbcolympics.com.

Here's the event schedule for swimming, gymnastics, and track and field, all times ET:

Saturday, August 6
Gymnastics 9:30am/1:30pm/5:30pm: men's qualification (Team USA is in 1:30 group)

Italy: have already advanced

Belgium: advance with win/draw
Can also advance with a loss if:
1) Ireland fail to win AND
2) Belgium's goal difference, or goals scored if required, remain better than Turkey and Albania's

Sweden: advance with win

Ireland: advance with win

Third-place standings

The top four third-place teams in Euro 2016 advance to the Round of 16.

Currently, Portugal, Slovakia, and Northern Ireland have clinched.

The fourth third place team will be either Turkey or the third place team from Group E, who are yet to play.

The reason Albania have been eliminated is because they lose the tiebreaker to Turkey: they both have the same number of points and goal difference, and Turkey beat Albania on goals scored.

The third place team from Group E could be any of the three who aren't group winners Italy, and the final points, goal difference, and goals scored of that team will decide whether it is they or Turkey who advance.
