Six teams have already clinched the six available berths in the tournament. They are: Babson, Wheaton, Springfield, MIT, Wellesley, and Emerson. Babson is guaranteed the top seed in the tournament, meaning that they will host the semifinals and final of the tournament on the weekend of May 7 and 8.
Current standings:
1. Babson (7-0)
2. Wheaton (5-2)
3. Springfield (5-2)
4. MIT (5-2)
5. Wellesley (4-3)
6. Emerson (4-3)
NOTE before reading scenarios below. I am still confused as to how the possible five-way tiebreak at 5-3 would work, so scenarios below are incomplete until I receive a response from NEWMAC to my tweet here: https://twitter.com/maseeh4alum/status/724445954724757505
