NFC


SEATTLE (13-3)


The Seahawks have already clinched a playoff spot and can still clinch:

a) the NFC West division title

b) a first round bye, and

c) homefield advantage throughout the playoffs

They can clinch all of this by:

1) SEA win OR

2) SEA tie


SAN FRANCISCO (12-4)


The 49ers have already clinched a playoff spot and can still clinch:

a) the NFC West division title

b) a first round bye, and

c) homefield advantage throughout the playoffs

They can clinch all of this by:

1) SF win


CHICAGO (11-5)


The Bears have already clinched:

a) a playoff spot,

b) the NFC North division title, and

c) a home playoff game

and can still clinch:

-the 2 seed, which would give them the first 2 rounds of the playoffs at home.


The Bears can clinch the 2 seed by:

1) CHI win OR

2) CHI tie + PHI tie OR

3) PHI loss


PHILADELPHIA (11-5)


The Eagles have already clinched:

a) a playoff spot,

b) the NFC East division title, and

c) a home playoff game

and can still clinch:

-the 2 seed, which would give them the first 2 rounds of the playoffs at home.


The Eagles can clinch the 2 seed by:

1) PHI win + CHI loss/tie OR

2) PHI tie + CHI loss


LOS ANGELES (11-5)


The Rams have already clinched a playoff spot and can still clinch the 5 seed, which would allow them to play the NFC South champion in the first round, which they will likely try for.


The Rams can clinch the 5 seed with:

1) LAR win + SF loss


GREEN BAY (9-6-1)


The Packers are locked into the 7 seed for the third straight season


CAROLINA (8-8)


The Panthers have clinched nothing but can still clinch:

a) a playoff spot,

b) the NFC South division title, and

c) a home playoff game.

They can clinch all of this by:

1) CAR win/tie OR

2) ATL win


TAMPA BAY (7-9)


The Buccaneers have clinched nothing but can still clinch:

a) a playoff spot,

b) the NFC South division title, and

c) a home playoff game.

They can clinch all of this by:

1) TB win + ATL loss/tie


AFC


DENVER (13-3)


The Broncos have already clinched:

a) a playoff spot and

b) the AFC West division title

and can still clinch:

a) a first round bye and

b) homefield advantage throughout the playoffs

They can clinch this by:

1) DEN win OR

2) DEN tie + NE tie OR

3) NE loss + JAX loss/tie


NEW ENGLAND (13-3)


The Patriots have already clinched:

a) a playoff spot and

b) the AFC East division title

and can still clinch:

a) a first round bye and

b) homefield advantage throughout the playoffs

They can clinch this by:

1) NE win + DEN loss/tie OR

2) NE tie + DEN loss


JACKSONVILLE (12-4)


The Jaguars have already clinched a playoff spot and can still clinch:

a) the AFC South division title,

b) a first round bye, and

c) homefield advantage throughout the playoffs


The Jaguars can clinch the division by:

1) JAX win/tie OR

2) HOU loss/tie


The Jaguars can clinch a first round bye and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs by:

1) JAX win + DEN loss + NE loss


HOUSTON (11-5)


The Texans have already clinched a playoff spot and can still clinch:

b) a home playoff game.

They can clinch this by:

1) HOU win + JAX loss


LOS ANGELES (11-5) and BUFFALO (11-5) have both clinched playoff spots and are only playing for seeding, and unlike in the NFC, it doesn’t seem they’ll be trying hard for the 5 seed.


PITTSBURGH (9-7)


The Steelers have clinched nothing but can still clinch:

a) a playoff spot,

b) the AFC North division title, and

c) a home playoff game.

They can clinch all of this by:

1) PIT win OR

2) PIT tie


BALTIMORE (8-8)


The Ravens have clinched nothing but can still clinch:

a) a playoff spot,

b) the AFC North division title, and

c) a home playoff game.

They can clinch all of this by:

1) BAL win
